Shri Radha Rani Braj Yatra
Radha Rani Braj Yatra is an annual 40 day long Braj Parikrama in and around Braj
Dham intended to visit divine places of Shri Radha Krishna's pastime (Leela Sthalis).
This yatra is completely free of cost where as other organizations charge upto Rs
50,000 per person. All participants are provided with food, transportation, medicines,
blankets etc. absolutely free of cost. Shri Radha Rani Braj Yatra is organized by
Shri Maan Mandir Sewa Sansthan, Maangar, Gahvarvan,
Barsana, UP India, under the guidance Shri Ramesh Baba
Maharaj.
The principal objective of performing this yatra is not limited to just spiritual
benefit, but to spread bhagwan naam and awareness among local brajwasis about current
pathetic state of Braj Dham and how to restore it. Shri Baba Maharaj requests local
brajwasis of every village that the yatra visits to:
- Perform Bhagwan Naam Pheri in their village every day. To achive this objective,
they are asured of a FREE mega phone and a Dholak. Also, a team, comprising members
of Braj Rakshani Naam Pracharani Sabha, visits
the village and helps the interested group of brajwasis start the Bhagwan Naam Pheri.
- Form a local Samiti (organization) that will be responsible for, but not limited
to, protecting all the leela sthalis that fall within the teritories of that village.
They are asured of all kinds of support including financial aid and technical as
well as non-technical know-how.
Shri Radha Rani Braj Yatra is led by one divine soul, Shri Ramesh Babaji Maharaj of Maan Mandir
(Barsana), with 10,000 or more devotees from all over India and abroad. It explores and discovers
some of the remotest, unreachable & largely unknown places of Braj.
This 40 day Yatra is totally free for all Yatris. Everything, including food, tents, medicine,
transportation, etc., is provided by Shri Maan Mandir Sewa Sansthan Trust, Barsana (Mathura). It
is one of the few remaining sources to the Brajwaasis who with the other Yatris chant Bhajans
24 hours a day and hear the leelas of Shri Radha Krishna. Other organizations charge 4,000 to
50,000 rupees per person for such Yatras, a fee too steep for many to pay. The transcendental atmosphere created by the
melodies of constant kirtan and bhajans are beyond words. Shri Baba Maharaj’s devotion to the Holy
Braj Dham and Brajwaasis is the driving force of the entire Yatra. This experience is unique for spiritual
seekers.

Why is Braj Yatra Important?
In 10th Canto of Shrimad Bhagwatam, Brahmaji got confused by Shri Krishna's childhood
leelas with an ordinary cowherd boy. Shri Krishna used to behave much like an ordinary
naughty boy and even worse than that. Brahmaji saw Shri Krishna extracting half
eaten food from inside mouth of His friends and got confused how can an incarnation
of God do any thing like this, and decided to test him. He stole all the cows and
cowherd boys and disappeared. However, Shri Krishna Himself took the form of all
the cows and cowherd boys and started playing with them as usual. He remained in
those forms for one year.
Brahmaji felt guilty. This made him understood that Shri Krishna Himself is God.
He seeked pardon from Shri Krishna. However, Shri Krishna said that this is a sin
towards brajvasis, brajdham and holy cows, which even I can got forgive. Only way
to get rid of this sin is to perform Braj Parikarama, the Braj Dham Yatra (Traverse
around the boundary of Shri Braj Dham). Brahmaji performed this Braj Yatra and got
absolved from the sin. This is how the parikarama concept began.
